Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in the supervision of deep and large-scale mass excavation works on major infrastructure projects. • Advanced experience in executing trench and mass excavations according to strict schedules, with thorough knowledge of temporary support systems (shoring & tedding) and slope stability/landslide prevention measures. • Strong understanding of various soil types, with proven ability to handle high groundwater tables, manage water ingress, and implement dewatering systems during excavation. • Comprehensive knowledge of compaction and backfilling specifications, as well as soil testing procedures (field density tests, Proctor tests, and sieve analysis). • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, cross-sections, and cut/fill quantity calculations with high accuracy. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of scheduling software (Primavera P6 or MS Project) is an advantage. • Excellent leadership skills in managing subcontractor teams and equipment operators on-site, with a strong ability to resolve unforeseen engineering challenges promptly. • Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken). Key Responsibilities • Provide direct and continuous supervision of all excavation, leveling, and backfilling works, ensuring compliance with approved specifications and engineering drawings. • Plan daily excavation sequences in coordination with the surveying team, ensuring required levels and alignments are achieved before subsequent construction phases commence. • Oversee the installation of shoring systems for deep excavations, ensuring soil stability to protect workers and equipment, particularly in unstable soil conditions. • Coordinate with the QA/QC team to ensure backfill materials and imported soil meet specifications, and supervise compaction testing (Proctor and field density tests). • Enforce strict compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations in all excavation zones, preventing hazards related to trench collapses, water accumulation, or gas emissions. • Manage and direct subcontractor teams and heavy equipment operators (excavators, loaders, graders, bulldozers) to achieve maximum productivity with minimal downtime. • Prepare detailed daily excavation reports, including quantities of excavated and placed materials, while documenting any unforeseen changes in soil stratification or groundwater levels. • Monitor daily productivity, identify geotechnical or technical obstacles, and submit periodic progress reports to the Project Manager along with proposed corrective actions. • Contribute to the preparation of as-built documentation and final quantity records for project close-out لمن يرغب بالتقديم يرجى ارسال الـ CV على البريدج الالكتروني r.alqasem@hae.com.jo
