Job Title Job Family Reporting Line Career Stream Field Engineer Engineering Field Operations Officer Expert/Specialist (E/S) Mission Statement Perform relevant field operations at client sites and liaise with client engineers to understand and produce client specification requirement documents. Commission and maintain products at client sites through preventive and scheduled maintenance. Support production team when necessary. Main Accountabilities Field assessment: Perform field surveys of electrical loads at client sites in liaison with client site engineers. Record relevant details about every load accurately. Scope possible locations of product installation for design purpose. Maintenance: Perform routine check-up and maintenance on commissioned products. Installation: Commission finished products at client loads accurately adhering to health and safety protocols and standards. Testing: Perform electrical testing on connected and activated products and log a measurement datasheet accordingly. Sales support: Assists in creating proposals for engineering projects or programs (provision of bills of materials and estimated commissioning hours, etc.) Supply chain management: Ensure availability of commissioning equipment, systems or services. Technology leadership and knowledge sharing: Provides relevant information pertaining to commissioning assignments and meetings with contractors/colleagues. Gives feedbacks to the organization to apply lessons learned process. Processes and tools: Use standard processes to ensure all commissioning activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Applies and improves processes and tools in one’s technical area to ensure effective project delivery. People leadership and development: Guides and coordinates work with technicians and laborers.
