UNOPS Hub in Amman The UNOPS Hub in Amman implements projects in Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Turkey, and Yemen, in partnership with bilateral donors, national governments, and other UN agencies. With an established presence across the region, the office runs operations including large-scale procurement, project development, and technical management, and provides financial, human resources, and infrastructure-related services. The functional objective of UNOPS Hub in Amman is to deliver its projects in an efficient and effective manner and in line with the principles, rules and regulations of UNOPS, in order to support the response to the current needs and national priorities in the region. The Survey Engineer will report directly to the PM in full coordination with the Senior Water Network engineer and other projects team. Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Project Manager, The Survey Engineer shall provide his/her technical expertise as required to manage and coordinate any tasks assigned works. The Survey Engineer shall be responsible for submitting high quality estimation of quantities, documentation and site works that are carried out on time. 4. Qualifications and Experience • Bachelor's degree in Surveying and Geomatics Engineering from a reputable University. • Quantity surveying Certificates will be an asset • At least 3 years of experience in Land Survey with 2 years of experience in water network and sanitation projects with demonstrated capacity to meet performance indicators, and deliver results preferably in an international development environment. • Membership to Professional recognized Engineering body/ institution and a valid practicing License is desirable. • Candidates with experience working with UN or other Humanitarian/Development agencies will be well regarded. • Fluency in both English and Arabic is required • Residency in Irbid Governorate will be an asset. • Good Knowledge with computer software’s in particular MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Internet, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other related software related to the positions field of expertise. • Personal interest, commitment, efficiency, flexibility and willingness to work in a highly motivated team of professionals is required.
